I want to be a doctor. Mommy tells me that it will be expensive but she will do her best to send me to medical school. We have also planned together many ways to save for my education, including some thoughts on scholarships for me to take in high school, as well as college. Mommy said I can be anything I want to be, and if I believe in myself, I will never fail to become what I want to become. I want to be able to do a lot of things. When I saw my Ina wear the Cherokee medical scrubs for nurses at the mall, I told her that I want to be a nurse also. I want to help people and wear Cherokee 2874 scrubs top at work.

Mommy said I should choose because I can not be a doctor and a nurse at the same time. But she said that before becoming a doctor, I can become a nurse, if I really want to.

Mommy came home late from her school. I opened the door for her tonight but I didn’t tell her my surprise. I didn’t tell her anything because I was waiting for her to sit down. But Kuya River told her my surprise and I am sad that I was not the one who told mommy that I won first place and got a gold medal in paragraph writing in school.

But mommy kissed me and I am happy because mommy is happy too. Mommy said that even if I didn’t win she will always be proud of me. I love my mommy. And I am thankful she is always there for me. I am happy that even if I didn’t win in the elocution contest or the spelling bee, I have something for mommy..

I am joining the elocution contest tomorrow and I am afraid my voice will not be as loud as how we practiced. In the preliminaries, I only got 29/30 as score, because my teacher said my voice is very small.  Tomorrow i pray that it will be loud enough for everyone to hear.

Teacher Sharese said we should be there at 1:30 because the grade 1 students may finish early. I told mommy and she said we should just eat in school.
